Review
Established back in 2000 PokerStars took its time to build a loyal player base. With some strong marketing techniques and excellent promotions PokerStars quickly grew to become a front runner in the online poker world. Pokerstars is now the largest poker site on the internet. With over 120,000 players connected at peak hours you will find it impossible to be stuck looking for a game. All stakes and games are catered for so whether you play $0.25/0.50 Holdem or $10/20 Triple Draw you will find a game at PokerStars.
PokerStars Software (9.2/10)
Personally I find PokerStars software to be very good. They don’t provide you with characters they simply give you a small circle on which you can “sit down” and play. The software runs in a quick manner and very rarely will you find a glitch. PokerStars updates their software regularly, on a near daily basis, to ensure players are given the best possible gaming experience. With PokerStars you can resize tables to allow for multiple tables to being played. Players can play up to 24 cash tables at any one time as well as an unlimited amount of tournaments.
PokerStars Traffic (9.7/10)
The traffic PokerStars draws in is simply amazing. They have the largest site by a very considerable margin. At off-peak hours there can still be upwards of 40,000 players connected and at peak hours this soars to over 100,000. Some of the tournaments they provide have over 5000 players battling it out for prize pools which can reach in excess of $1,000,000!
Real money cash game traffic recently broke the 30,000 mark, and you can usually find over 50,000 players participating in PokerStars’s sit and go’s and multi table tournaments.
PokerStars Games Offered (9.6/10)
As the largest online poker site it would be foolish of PokerStars not to offer a large variety of games. PokerStars offers Texas Holdem, Omaha, Stud, Draw and Horse. These can be played at a huge variety of stakes ranging from $0.01/$0.02 all the way through to $1000/$2000. Tournaments buy-ins range from $0.10 to $1000+ so I’m more then confident you will find a game suitable for you at PokerStars.
PokerStars Tournaments (9.8/10)
Tournaments are very popular at PokerStars. They provide the best online poker tournaments you will find. Players can play in huge tournaments with in excess of 5000 players. Sit and Go tournaments fill up in seconds at peak hours and as soon as one fills up another is opened, so you will never find yourself waiting for a tournament. PokerStars runs some excellent value tournaments for beginners with their daily $50 and $100 added tournaments which you can buy into for as little as $0.10. If you are looking to play in the largest offline poker tournaments in the world PokerStars will also help you gain entry as they offer daily tournaments to qualify for the WPT, EPT, WSOP and WSOPE!
PokerStars Bonuses (7.2/10)
PokerStars offers a small, 100% bonus up to $50 when you sign up through any link on PokerBonusRoll.Com. PokerStars very rarely offers players “reload bonuses” although you will occasionally receive emails offering you these. For some players this is seen as a major weakness, but if you want to play at the largest poker site you have to make some sacrifices.
